Message from Principal DeFigueiredo

Message from principal

Greetings Taylor Families,

My name is Rafaela DeFigueiredo Spence and I have been the principal of the Taylor School since 2015. I am a proud graduate of NBPS (Go Whalers!) and am extremely honored to be part of this amazing school community!

Here at the Taylor School, we pride ourselves in providing high-quality instruction while also focusing on the social-emotional well-being of all of our students. We set high academic expectations and strive to help each student reach their individual academic and personal goals.  Although we have an amazing team at the Taylor School, we cannot do this alone. Families, caregivers, and community members are an essential part of what makes our school community successful.   We need the support of all our families and community members in order to ensure that all our students make the most progress possible. Open communication with your child(ren)'s teacher and the main office, supporting your child(ren) with having their materials ready to learn, and supporting your child(ren) to regularly attend school, are all ways you can help your child to succeed. I look forward to working with you and watch your child(ren) flourish.
