Vision Statement

In order to insure educational excellence and equity, William H. Taylor School will prepare all its students to thrive in the technology intense, ever-changing global society of the future. William H. Taylor School students will progress through the system and develop the skills that allow them to become flexible thinkers and problem solvers who will cherish and respect all human persity.
These elementary school experiences will nurture a cooperative spirit that will provide meaningful training and prepare our students for future educational and co-curricular activities. It is hoped that students will become active participants in their communities and fully informed citizens who are able to take advantage of the many opportunities that come their way, and who understand that learning is a lifelong
process.

Belief Statements

We believe all students can learn and achieve in a safe, disciplined environment in which they feel trusted, supported and have a sense of belonging.
We believe students learn best when they are actively engaged in meaningful and challenging work, integrating technology where appropriate. We believe students need to come to school prepared and ready to take an active role in their learning.
We believe students need a classroom environment that encourages active participation in all academic areas and reduces fear of failure.
We believe that we must be creative, energetic visionaries, who respond quickly to perse and evolving issues.
